The ABC of juice: Apple Beet and Celery Juice Recipe

Apple beet and celery are the some of the fundamental elements of juicing, the ABC of juicing, Originally I was planing to make apple kale and grapefruit juice, noticing that I have no kale at home, I switched to this juice, which capture some of the most basic flavor and methods in juicing  - Apple, Beet and Celery.

The ABC formula is simply the base of the juice, to this you can add as many elements as you’ll like, Today I choose to add some green elements to cover for the luck of kale, so I added some romaine lettuce leafs, spinach, parsley, ginger and grapefruit, making this juice a real green juice masterpiece.

Obviously like most green juices, you’ll want to use a masticating juicer to juice this recipe, I’m using the Breville Juice Fountain Crush, but it will also work great in your Omega or Green Star Juicer, The reason you want to use a masticating juicer is because this juicer will get the most out of the leafy and green produce we use in the recipe, You can still use a centrifugal juicer like the Breville Juice Fountain Elite, but you’ll have to up the quantities of your green produce.

As a juice lover I’m always looking for new juice combinations, but recently I became obsessed with pure juices – juices that made from one ingredients, I find that its great to drink a juice that is so pure and simple in its flavor, since it really gives you an idea of the true flavor of the juice, and then when you go back to make more complex juice, you can really enjoy each flavor and create better mixes.

I came up with a list of juices which I like to drink as single malt juices

There is nothing like fresh juice to make you feel alive and this green juice will prove it so. Adopted from the Organic avenue cleanse - Green mylk juice, I choose to rename this juice and give it a title that will separate it from most green juices and elevate the importance and benefits of this juice, as it is not just another juice, when you drink this green juice recipe you’ll also say ‘live and let juice’.

For a long time there been a debate which is the best juice cleanse around, Blueprint Cleanse or Organic Avenue, to my opinion there are both amazing cleanses but each of them is catered toward a different type of cleanser, while the BPC cleanse gives you a great introduction to juicing and show you what juicing is really about, the Organic Avenue juice cleanse (branded as ‘Deep Love’) is a cleanse that explore a wider verity of juices and approaches to juicing, very much like Melvin’s atitude to juices, which is an holistic approach of looking at what you put in your body rather than just juicing, therefor the Organic Avenue cleanse (and the Melvin’s juice box cleanse) offer a mix of juices, pure juice shoots and smoothies hybrids.

To be honest, at first I was a bit repulsed from the Organic Avenue branding, it seems to be a bit to abusive to the term ‘Love’ and relaying on heavy branding and high prices, don’t get me wrong, I think that the whole vegi atitude is great, but why do you have to mix that with emotions that don’t stick, normally when I see a brand that goes this way, it turns on a red light for me, they are trying to cover something up with all these ‘LOVE’ talks. and here after a long thought about it, I decided to give Organic Avenue a chance and judge them only for the juice, which to my surprise, as I have learned is very creative, delicious and capture many alternative ideas when it comes to juicing.
