One of the first ways people responds when I tell them to get a juicer (and that it would change their life) is that they don’t want to deal with cleaning the juicer. they say things like ‘its too hard to clean the juicer’ or ‘I would like to get a juicer, but I don’t have the time to clean it’.  This might have been true when they used to watch their parents clean some old school juicer back in the 70′s, nowadays there are many easy to clean juicer machines out there. Breville 800JEXL Cleaning Steps.

using hot water and soap wash the juicer tube, disassemble the juicer and wash the top part as well. now take out the spinning part of the juicer carefully, seeing that you do not touch the blades at the bottom of it. using a vegetable brush (or the original brush that comes with the juicer) clean the spinning part. next take the fountain part wash it from any remaining pulp, remove the garbage bag and you are done.

Tip: I like to place a plastic garbage bag inside the pulp tray of the juicer, that way I don’t even need to wash that part, I simply take the pulp bag and throw it a way (or even better use it as a compost).

its quite easy, there are two ways to check it out, the first one is to pull one of the leafs from the center of the pineapple and check the resistance, if it comes out easily it means you are holding a good ready to eat pineapple if it isn’t check the next pineapple on the shelf.

one very important step before peeling and cutting the pineapple is to make sure that it is going to be sweet all throughout the pineapple. simply lay the pineapple on its side in the refrigerator and let it sit for 30min, this would balance the sugar which usually stays at the bottom of the pineapple throughout the whole body of the pineapple.

How to peel – cut a pineapple?

again the steps are very simple, cut the top and bottom of the pineapple, so it can stand nicely, with a sharp knife, remove the skin from the side, similar to they way you would supreme an orange, till there is no more skin on it, if you still have parts of the skin in the pineapple, using a paring knife or a zester, remove them one by one, at this point your pineapple should be ready to cut, simply select your cut based on the way you are planing to eat it.
